This Week in Korea
Korea's weekly charts, in English — with the reason why.
Every week TWIK translates the rankings Koreans actually follow — the box office, fan votes, search trends, best-sellers — and explains each entry for people who don't read Korean.
This week's number ones
Six rankings, each straight from its Korean source. Open one for the full list and a note on every entry.
How TWIK works
- We translate rankings; we don't make our own.
- Every list is published by a Korean source — the Korean Film Council, Google Trends, fan-vote charts, retailers. We keep their order exactly.
- Every list names its source.
- The source and its counting period sit at the top of each ranking, linked, so you can check the original.
- Notes are facts, not guesses.
- "Why it's trending" only says what the source or its news coverage reports. Notes are written in Korean and translated into English with AI, then reviewed; translations not yet reviewed are labelled. When we can't confirm a reason, we say the note is still in progress.
- New issue every Saturday.
- Week-by-week history builds up on each entry's page from this issue on.
